Backups and Advertisement free Forums

It is possible to have your Forum display without the advertising banners at the header and footer of the page. This is achieved by paying for Show without ads.

This is how it works. Every time an advertisement is displayed on any given page of your Forum, that is one ‘view’. If, for example you have a value of 100 ‘views’, whenever a Member, or Guest, access a page where normally they would see an Ad, your ‘views’ are decremented by 1. When your ‘views’ reach zero, the Ads will return to your Forum.

The rate at which your ‘views’ are depleted, depends on the traffic on your Forum.

If you take a look toward the bottom of the ForumUp page, of your Administration Panel, you will see your current Show without ads value. There is also a link enabling you to pay for Show without ads, through PayPal.

When you purchase Show without ads, you also gain access to the following features:


HTML Header.

You have the capability to insert 10Kb of HTML or javascript, above, every page of your Forum. What you do here is only limited by your imagination: Banners, Calenders, a second Menu bar, Slide-shows, even your own Advertising system.


Guest Posting.

Enable Guests to post. This can be useful in allowing members, or potential members, to advise you of login / registration problems.


Forum Backup.

If your Show without ads ‘views’ value is above 700,000, you will also gain access to the Backup facility in your Administration Panel.

You may generate one Backup in a 24 hour period, as often as you like. The process is User driven, and will provide you with a link from which to download your Forum, as a MySQL compatible file. The file includes ALL of your Forum data.


Note: Once your Show without ads reaches zero, all of these features will automatically disable. The exception being Backups, which will disable when reduced to 700,000 views, or less. You may purchase additional ‘views’ at any time.
